i'm very excited about finding this tea community!! i hope that ya'll will provide me with a wealth of helpful insights and tea suggestions :3

I tend to favor black and green teas over others, but also am very fond of Oolong.

I got into tea because of my Japanese and History TA's, who were friends and hosted tea centered events for their classes. I call ATL home, even though i don't like sweet tea, and have fond memories of making suntea in the summer when i was younger, we still have the glasses and pitcher!

anyways, before i get caught up in my ramblings, i just wanted to say Heyo ya'll ;D
You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me. ~C.S. Lewis

Welcome to Teachat, I'm rather new here myself. The community is a great resource! If you have a tea question, I am certain someone here will have an answer for you, regardless of the type of tea, or brewing method or whatever else you might have a question about. Great place, and great people.

Once again, Welcome!

Thanks,
--Jason

Hi Ryo! Welcome :)

My first tea experiences were of sweet tea- I would guess that my first memories of my mom is her heating the water in her special tea pot to make sweet tea. Slowly as I grew up I realized I prefered tea without sugar. Hard to get in the south and I got quite a few puzzled looks but by the time I was 10ish, no more sugar in my tea.

I have in the two years found rishi tea and tealux as well as teaism here in dc and then this past month found teachat and have not looked back.

tea rocks on so many levels :D

your eggs are beautiful! i remember making a batch when i was in high school- they were called 10,000 year old eggs i think. loved the look and the flavor.
