Congrats! Let us know. I don't think I have ordered from there before. Is that Spring '09 DaYuLing?

Another comparative tasting of several Wuyi Rock traditional roast oolongs--Da Hong Pao, Shui Jin Gui, Ban Tian Yao--from Norbu. Dark, toasty, smooth, delicious.

Iannon, I got the same sampler! :)
I have almost finished trying them all (the only thing left is Tsuei Luan). So far Shan Ling Xi is my favorite, which is strange because it is greener and more floral than my usual oolong preference.

Curious to hear what your favorite is.

I also recently got the same sampler from TeaFromTaiwan, and I also really liked the Shan Ling Xi, but I think my personal favorite was the Tsuei Luan. It is very pleasant and fruity. I think you'll like it.

I'm enjoying some Shui Jin Gui at the moment. Good stuff.

Pouchong from TenRen. Not as transporting as the really perfect Ali Shan or Ti Guan Yins, but warm and comforting as always.

Still drinking this same session. I love it when a tea session goes for a few days. :D

Edit:

Since the brewtimes on this session are now measured in 8 hour increments I've started a suplemental cup of grandpa style yentcha - this one is a cheap but good one from RB - golden buddha.

Today is Light Roast Wuyi Da Hong Pao from Yunnan Sourcing... so far, I like, but think I slightly overbrewed this first one. Nice and roasty, but just a smidge of bitterness. Probably my fault.

Today (unless I am greatly mistaken, one of these teas is unlabeled) I am drinking the same Tung Ting harvest roasted and jade side by side. Both tasty. I am in a Jade mood today, though.

Excuse the mess.

Downing the Superior Jasmine Pearl sample from Adagio.

And what's up with these samples from Tea from Taiwan... I'm thinking I'm going to have to jump on board. Anyone had their milk oolongs? (sorry if by chance someone like 2 posts up from me happened to have mentioned their m.o.'s... i'm too lazy to check)

Drank a Dong Ding and a Wuyi Laocong Shuixian outside with friends this morning, enjoying the near-perfect weather. Happy year of the tiger; 恭喜发财!

i have now tried everything but the aged. I also did have that Da Yu Ling sample on top of the sample pack. So I think i am having a hard time picking a favorite. I would say my top 3 in order would probably be:
1. Da Yu Ling
2. Long Feng Xia
3. Tseui Luan

I ordered the Long Feng Xia, Tseui Luan and Zhong Shu Hu (Ali shan) from Tea from Taiwan. I'm enjoying all three but I think I like the Tseui Luan the best so far. Right now I'm drinking some of the Long Feng Xia.
