Seeking an alternative to Adagio's Jasmine #12

I recently bought a sample of Adagio's Jasmine #12 and have dubbed it the best jasmine tea I've ever tasted.

But it's pricey. Has anyone found a jasmine they like nearly as well but which doesn't cost nearly as much?

Of course, I'll still indulge myself with #12 once in a while. But I'd like to be able to stretch my tea dollars further. Otherwise, my tea cupboard will have Jasmine #12 ... and nothing else.

Only one type of tea? Horrors!

Jasmine #5 is a good cheaper replacement, though it is no Jasmine #12.

You can also try Jasmine #9, I have not tried it yet though, so I cannot tell you much about it.

none of adagio's jasmines are even remotely comparable to jasmine #12. As a matter of fact not many Jasmine teas are comparable to Jasmine pearls in general. I think you're out of luck unless you find a cheaper place to buy jasmine pearls. I'm feeling too lazy to look for you right now. Sorry.

Have to agree with Joe, the #12 stands far apart from the others.
While other sites sell the lovely jasmine-scented pearls, I think Adagio has about the best price and quality.

If it helps justify the cost a bit, you should be able to get 3 really nice infusions from the leaves. IMO the 4th infusion is ok, but nothing special - so if I'm making iced jasmine or a big pot, I make all 4 infusions and mix them together to get the most of it.
Even then, that's not enough for me: when they've dried, I grind up the totally-used dried leaves and put them on my plants and lawn. Tea comes from the earth, it should go back to the earth (not wasted in our garbage dumps).
[uh-oh; how long have I been standing on this soapbox?]
