Fenghuang Dancong TeaHabitat recs please

by rime » Mar 30th, '16, 11:08

A short while ago, I bought a few teas from Imen.

1993 Wild Hong Yin
2007 Ba Xian - Eight Immortals
2011 Lao Cong Dong Fang Hong - East Rising Red
2014 Da Wu Ye - Dark Leaf

In one of her posts about learning to drink Dancongs, she recommends drinking a young bush tea after an old bush to train a novice palate (mine).

Can anyone recommend teas from her website that might make good pairs with the purchases above?

Her "commercial grade" milan (honey orchid) dancong is typically very good (not sure if I've tried the one she's selling now). I actually find that, for me, it tends to be less sensitive to brew than some of the more expensive ones. You could also just email her and ask for a recommendation.

FWIW, she said that the current (2015) teas are good, so pick up .

I emailed Imen and that's exactly what she recommended.
Thank you!
