Where's the best place to order High Mountain Oolong?

The last time I was in Seattle, I picked up some delicious High Mountain Oolong at this tea shop by Pike's Place. I'm looking to order more, but I don't know where to find good High Mountain Oolong online. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the recommendation! I went ahead and ordered some 2008 Early Spring Zhu-Shan Si-Ji Oolong.

Since you're in Portland, you might try Serenity Art on 82nd, just north of Powell, at the Fubonn shopping center. They don't have much, but they have a Tung Ting (labeled "Ice Mountain") that is great.

I'll keep that in mind. I haven't been to that place yet, but I've heard many good things and will venture over there as soon as I get a chance. I didn't realize they've had Oolong, but I have heard of their Pu-erh.

They have a selection of oolongs, but mostly Chinese. Their puerh is mostly cooked, though I've heard they've gotten some new stuff since I was last there (about 6 months ago). I will likely start going back frequently again in the next week or so.

Another Portlander Chimes In:

Serenity Art has mostly cooked Pu-erh. I actually think it's some of the better cooked I've had (Especially their Menghai 1998). They do have 1 uncooked Pu-erh that is drinkable, but not stellar.

I've had a few of their oolongs and have been really really pleased with them. Also when you are there I HIGHLY advise spending time looking at their tea wares area, they've got the best prices you'll find in town on most everything.

One of these days we'll have to round up all the Portlanders and do a big tea tasting day.

I believe so. It's within a few blocks of pike's place, I believe in the direction of the mall. They have a shelfs with a bunch of giant glass canisters full of tea on the wall.

I know how to find it on foot when I'm there. Somewhere I still have their bag that I could find.

If there was an extremely knowledgeable chinese guy who was eager to have you sample everything then that sounds like the place. I was there about 6 hours ago had to get more coincidentally High Mountain Oolong to tide me til Shincha (i think all my posts lately have contained Shincha). I love that place, you portlanders are lucky because there are more tea places than here. http://vitaltleaf.com/

I just checked - that's the place!

I've only been there twice, though every time from now on when I visit Seattle, I'm going there. I love how they'll let you try dozens of teas to find the right one.

I ordered more high mountain from them, along with other oolong from houdeasianart.com

Both are very fine teas

Another Portlander here..... and I second the recommendation on Serenity's Ice Mountain!
But when you get there, you'll have to decide... do I want the $45 ice mountain, or the $60 ice mountain, or the $90 ice mountain, or the $120 ice mountain......

(I forget the exact prices, but it's something like that, per pound.. anyway, worth picking up at least an ounce of the expensive one I would think.)

Let's definitely have a PDX tea roundup some lazy sunday!
