Oolong Box Pass

Owes its flavors to oxidation levels between green & black tea.

Chip,

I have hundreds of photos, but not every single one, no.

The Amish culture is SO interesting... we have a small Amish community here, and most of them have their babies at home with a lay midwife, but a few of them are afraid to give birth at home and come to the hospital where I do all my deliveries. I'd love to be in the heart of Pennsylvania-Dutch country and attend some homebirths sometime in my life... such a different world than the one I live in every day.

So I'm gonna start the box this weekend after my weekly trip to FTL, is that ok? Also planning to get down to the international district this weekend so I may include some chinese oolongs.

I'll throw in one of those disposable film cameras and everyone will be required to take a picture of the box before it leaves them. i'll develop and post the pics when it gets back to me.

Any other requests?

I'll take a nice museum quality YiXing. Or jade teapot. Thank you! :D

Seriously though, should we send postal addresses to you or to Victoria?

Thank you for all the work and kindness. You are a doll!

Send addresses to Victoria. I'm only starting the box because I just got a box from Victoria a few days ago so it made more sense for the oolong box to go the other direction. :)

I'm actually planning on sending a gaiwan along too so people who don't have one can play with it, then send it along. Hmnnn, contest for the gaiwan at the end of the box pass for those who tried it and liked it.... there's an idea. then again, if you are oolong lovers you probably already have one...

I was actually thinking of throwing in a Yixing I don't use anymore, it's nice but it aint museum quality. heh.

Regarding the Doll thing... um, that is tEnuki, not tAnuki...

Auggy, I have neither... so you are in better shape than me. But I am managing just fine without, I think!

Why does one NEED a yixing and a gaiwan, really? How would my life be better?

Whew, I feel better now! I'll admit - I am more likely to collect cups over teapots. For that reason alone I'm trying to limit my teaware storage space to one shelf in one cabinet. I've got room for a few more cups but then I'll have to start getting rid of some things. So I'm being very very careful about the cups I buy. But I did find one with cartoon goldfish on it that I might have to get.

<-- total dork.

The biggest reason I have so much teaware is I started collecting it apr 7-8 yrs ago. I've only been drinking tea for a couple of yrs & loose tea for less than a yr.

Ya, am I supposed to post the starting inventory? Haven't hit FLT yet (tomorrow) but went to NCTG for some chinese oolongs and Daiso for some teacups and tatami coasters everyone seemed to like.

Victoria, please leave some FLT stuff in the box for people after you.. ;P
