On a 1 to 10 scale..1 being black 10 being Oolong
what end of the scale would you put the new tea on?

Hard to say, because black Darj tends to brew light. I'd say it's smack in the middle - certainly not light to the level of a TKY or a Pouchong. Very light and floral in flavor.

Ooooh, this is good. Got a sample in my TeaChef gift this week (which was an extremly nice gift I might add..Thank You very much) I am not fond of black Teas, but I want to be. Love Oolongs, this Tea is very 50/50..half black half Oolong. I really really like it, and would recommend everyone give it a try. Very mellow with a touch of sweetness. I am ordering more very soon.

I've just tried the Oooh, and it's got a truely lovely perfume. I love Darjeelings and enjoy oolongs, so this one is great. However, this is a complicated one and I'm struggling to find the perfect porportion of tea, temp, and water. I've made a wonderful cup, and several terrrible cups with this tea. Most oolongs can take a second or more steeping, but I've not been so impressed with this one after the first steeping. I'd love to hear how others prepare this tea. I steep about 1 teaspoon for 6 oz. of water and use water just slightly under the boil. A short steeping time seems best for the fragrance, but too weak for the actual tea. Any suggestions for the perfect cup?
