Simple Leaf - Honeybee

by nimpercent » Mar 26th, '09, 06:46

I searched the forum and haven't found a topic that discusses this oolong. It is grown in Nepal close to Darjeeling and is sold on thesimpleleaf.com. I ordered it awhile back and have grown to love it. This is a darker oolong with somewhat twisted leaves. I have had many successful brews using a ceramic teapot and strainer, but it always turns out bitter in my gaiwan. Anyone have any comments, reviews, or suggestions regarding this interesting tea?

I see the Simple Leaf Tea comes from Meghma Tea Estate. I have had the one below from TeaSource:

Meghma Estate, Darjeeling, Honey Oolong, ORGANIC

http://teasource.com/merchant2/merchant ... epalOolong

I just can't remember it specifically. It seems to me though, most of the Indian
oolongs are rather close to Darjeeling in taste.

Is that true of yours too? I wonder if it is the same tea?
