Zhong Guo Cha

by Herb_Master » May 8th, '09, 06:51

Has anyone ever ordered from this company?

https://secure.worldsourceintl.com/
Our work at Zhong Guo Cha starts at the tea gardens of the growers. Throughout the year we travel through China meeting with our suppliers, developing relationships, and selecting the best products they have to offer. We then bring those teas to our customers for their consumption and enjoyment.

The lack of the usual ease with which to understand who one is dealing with, to place an order and understand the payment methods [without proceeding with a payment], plus as far as I can tell a total absence of a reference on these boards, seems strange considering some of the interesting products they are selling.

2 Wuyis that particularly caught my eye were :-
O-2-6-2 Crevice Grown Oolong (TM) Shi Ru Xiang Cha (Wu Yi Shan Cha)
The English translation is "The Fragrance of Minerals,…Melted Rock”. This tea plant is grown in cracks and crevices in the rock of the Wuyishan area.
Lao Jun "Eyebrow” tea is amongst the most select Wuyishan Teas. The unique processing of this "Premium” selection is in accordance with closely held traditional techniques and legend. Processing results yield a fragrance of Orchid & Wood and a mellow, sweet taste.
ZGC rated at 5 stars.
There seems to be no way of finding out where they are located despite advertising tasting events.

Has anyone bought tea from ZGC or know anything about them?

Wuyi tea

by hong.tea.dao » Jun 1st, '09, 05:46

I surfed the Zhong Guo Cha website and seems it's just a personal site and not completed yet.

If you love Wuyi rock tea, you can contact Wuyi Star Company, but they only do wholesale.

Do you know what's meaning of Chinese character of Cha?
茶---The top part is grass, bottom is tree and middle part is human.

Cha-Tea, connect human with nature.

Thanks. I see this Shop site also references the Online site that I found, which has a little more substance than when I first found it.
Best wishes from Cheshire
