Greetings TeaFans and welcome to another TeaDay. I hope you will drop in throughout the day and share what is in your cup!
Yesterday we discussed if you prefer drinking alone or in company. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. You consider buying from a new online vendor, then you see a section of teas including CHEAP grocery market selections. Does this turn you off, and cause you to walk away? Please share ... have fun.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

Re: Friday TeaDay 10/29/10 Cart load of Lipton?
nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu more Lipons! o.O *runs away*
Re: Friday TeaDay 10/29/10 Cart load of Lipton?
Maybe, or at least I guess so.
Chances are, I'd never order from some new online vendor unless recommended by a trusted source.
If I saw a lot of low quality, ie store tea, well that would get my attention, and likely not in a good way. Tho if by recommendation, I'd order the smallest amount of the recommended tea and check that out; then the other stock probably wouldn't matter.
If by some chance however I was feeling frisky and going without a rec, then the cheap tea might scare me off.
All that said, aside from my j g's, I'm not really ordering from online vendors anymore, as I've just grown weary of the disappointment to dollar ratio. (for reasons previously stated in a different TD post).
Sipping some jasmine white peony at this late hour.
Cheers.

Running away from the liptons while drinking DTH's Premium Organic New Technique White tea and the last remains of a generic dark Oolong in parallel...
Perhaps that could be an idea for a new poll; do you often drink more than one tea at once?

Re: Friday TeaDay 10/29/10 Cart load of Lipton?
Maybe. If LQ (low quality) bag tea was a natural fit in their business plan, and if they had HQ or GQ teas that I didn't already have good sources for, then I might try their site. But, yeah, the sight of `Lipton' would shrivel my expectations.

Run Away!
I received a shipment from O-cha a few days ago and have been drinking lots of miyabi, though this morning I had the classic YM. When I go home for lunch, I will be brewing more MIYABI!
I'm assuming that the "new vendor" is one I've stumbled upon and not been highly recommended by another tea drinker. If that is the case, I spend my money with trusted sources and wait to hear ringing endorsements from someone less risk averse than I.I received a shipment from O-cha a few days ago and have been drinking lots of miyabi, though this morning I had the classic YM. I just cannot imagine an online store having excellent and uber fresh teas, and then sell crap too. I have run into vendors like this. So, I run fast and furious.

I'd think I'd get something if someone recommended something specific from them, though chances are more likely I'd run.

WOW, that one was really hard to say! I put possibly still order - hoping that maybe I wouldn't see the Lipton for sale! LOL Most likely unless it's a tea I really want to try I wouldn't order from them....or would come on here and ask about them first.

I would be scared if I saw a lot of Lipton and standard grocery store products at a vendors site, but it honestly depends on what else is offered, and whether or not is is recommended.
