Hi TeaFriends. Still a bit under the weather, so a brief OP to kick things off.
It is Thanksgiving time in the USA, so bear with us if you are an international member. Will you be spending this holiday where you live, or will you be traveling? Please share with us.
I am looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Gobble up!

Re: Wednesday TeaDay 11/24/10 Home for the holidays?
Hello all and a Happy Thanksgiving!
I will not be celebrating it because it doesn't exist here. Turkeys and cranberry sauce don't either, so it just wouldn't feel right.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE IT!
Traveling from the side of one county to the other side of the next county (almost an hour) which is the fartherest I have traveled since last Christmas.
My DH's BIL is a fantastic chef and he is the official Thanksgiving host/chef of the family. We range from about 17 - 25, depending on who can get here. There are 10 of us from our side of the family.
He tries to incorporate each family group's favorite recipes, so we have two types of dressing/stuffing for the turkey, ham, two kinds of cranberry sauce/relish, two types of potato dishes, etc. And, when he is finished cooking, he makes ME a cuppa'!!!
Chip, have you tried some good assam or another black with lemon and some whisky? (Scotch, of course.) That's always good for what ails you! Seriously, hope you feel better soon.

Hope you feel better soon, Chip. Keep that tea flowing and you'll be 100% in no time!
We will be staying home tomorrow and it will be only myself, my husband, and our daughter. My in-laws normally join us but MIL is dealing with some big health issues right now and isn't up to a big dinner. One good thing about this is that I am able to try a couple of "non-traditional" dishes this year!
Had some Hu Hong Black (Hunan) this morning before driving to work in the 7 degree weather. No tea yet here at work.

Thank you! I am feeling like I was run over by a "herd of turkeys!"geeber1 wrote:Hope you feel better soon, Chip. Keep that tea flowing and you'll be 100% in no time!
Unfortunately, I do not "drink" however I am drinking nyquil by the 6 pack! And of all times to be virtually OUT of sencha Mrs. Chip is taking good care of me.
Began the TD with the last of the Togei sencha which also signals the end of the straight up sencha in the house, oh noooooes. Lots of other tea around though. SweeTea was present for a share of the last of the last while Pyrit and Lili just stopped by to say "hey."

Get well soon Chip! Maybe drink some super young sheng day in and day out, then your body will think "If I have enough strength to survive this much, this cold is nothing!"
Just spending Thanksgiving at home with family and whatnot. I'm wishing I would have made a particular order before now, but oh well! Happy Thanksgiving all
Drinking some 2008 shu

Don't really celebrate, so I'll be at home enjoying some pu-erh.

Traveling to my dads house about an hour away tomorrow, though with the cold front moving through tonight i dread the thought of having to leave the house. Tomorrow is supposed to be 40 degrees colder than today Will definately be taking tea with me to try to stay warm.
Had some rishi pu at work. I had planned to enjoy the nice 85 degree weather today, but was called in. One day i will learn to say no. Now off to bake cookies to take with me tomorrow.

We will be celebrating with family, going to my mother in law's for dinner. Not to far away thought, so I don't consider it traveling.
Hachiju-hachiya from Maiko from the latest OTTI for one of my tea's today. Saved this one for last. Nothing exciting, but a very good tea. 4 solid infusions out of it.

I'm not really sure how to vote because I'm driving a couple hours North to West Palm Beach to celebrate...not really international.
