I would buy a Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) Zisha Teapot that was owned by the Emperor Qianlong. One with his name on the bottom.

So Chip, when do I get this certificate?

This morning i woke up later so there was no time for tea, not even breakfast, it has to be fixed ASAP :D .

ultimate teagift? i am not experienced enough to appreciate some super high quality tea, tea pot or cup. i would rather wish for example ten tasting tea cups filled with long jing starting from low grate until the best available, and taste them one by one and follow the change in the quality, and do it every day with a different tea. I think that would be the best tea education for me. 8)

The "ultimate chawan", of course. The problem is deciding which one. But unfortunately the Japanese government is reluctant to part with designated national cultural treasures  .

best,

Still have a silver kettle on my mind. Perhaps that.

Started the morning with Adagio's Jasmine Pearls from the Master Collection. So lovely and delicate.

A nice little clay pot, IPT's choice sounds ideal. Shui pin would be nice.

hmmm

or maybe a nice antique tetsubin

Shu Cheng-Ching Ming Jian Taiwan Oolong today, not sure what that means but my receipt said Nantou.

The country seems to have ground to a halt today due to the snow, I had a 2 hr walk home from work last night past gridlocked traffic. I feel really bad for my daughter, she would have been off school sick anyway but instead of missing school she is missing sledging and snowball fights.

I was going to vote for ultimate tea, but after reading victoria and proinsias, i am inclined to vote for either antique tetsubin or silver kettel.

Earlgrey de la creme again this morning.

It's gotta be TEA for me; I just don't care about teaware as much as some people. How about unlimited access to EoT's stock? ...a dream indeed... But if it has to be one item, I guess a really nice aged cake, not really sure.

Speaking of EoT, 2010 Manmai today!

What a wonderful idea... I like that. I am new to teas too so learning the difference in quality and names.

Starting day off with some unknown hmt.

I would spend it on tea. Not a favorite though; I can easily justify spending my own money on that.

I would load up on Yamashita Gyokuro at Maiko.

I'm having a jasmine green right now from Harney. It's finally chilly here in Louisiana and I am oh so grateful.

Cheers.

My morning tea was a big mug of Rishi chai, with half-and-half. This afternoon's was the second steep of Specialtea's Golden Monkey.

As for the poll:
I have all the teaware I need (read: "have space for"). I don't have any experience with really high-end tea, and I don't see the need to buy it if a cup of something relatively cheap makes me happy. I'd probably load up on a black jasmine, Golden Monkey and the black dragon pearls, then something I wouldn't ordinarily buy, like a middle-of-the-road gyokuro.

Okay, I know that was more than one. I'm indecisive (I think. Am I indecisive?)

I like solitude's idea, though.
