I'm not one for sweets so salty wins. Here at 3:30 in the AM, while everyone is sleeping, I just happen to be having a protein bar, and reading TeaChat. :)

Salty is closest. I'd probably reach for a light, whole grain cereal, or I might just have juice.

There have been razorbills in Cape Cod Canal for the last few weeks, one report estimated there are 200, and I'm taking my daughter down to see them.

Seven cups shui jin gui is in my tea thermos this morning.

Have a good weekend folks

More often I lean towards SWEET! Salty would be 2nd. Combo of sweet and salty would be next. Umami in combo with other tastes is next. Sour and then bitter would be distant trailers but they find their way into sweets ... such as dark chocolate has a bitter element to it ... but there are times for both.

This time of year, there are seemingly more opps for the sweets!

Began the TD with Sencha 7132 Asamushi Organic from the O-C with the Mrs. brewed up in "Shiggy" Stardust kyusu, aquired in a recent TC "TeaSwap."

Most likely sweet--cookie or piece of fruit, but sometimes could be salty, umami, less likely sour, almost never bitter.

No tea yet this morning.

Most of the time I go for salty, but sometimes only sweet will do.

Chip, if you like chocolate, a good salty/sweet combo is a candy bar from Lindt Chocolate. It's dark chocolate with a touch of sea salt. I had a bar in my desk for several weeks and ate one square every afternoon. I considered it stress relief! :D

Peppermint Twist in my cup this morning.

Mmmm Lindt are the best. Don't think I have ever seen those here.
But I have been known to sprinkle salt on nut clusters. :)

Cute avie!

Started the day with Adagio Jasmine again, I am really into this one at the moment, as you can tell.

I definitely prefer salty snacks, especially at night. Mmmmmm.

2007 HLH Bulang today: meh... Might need another tea to make up for this.

Usually salty snacks win...I don´t find myself craving sweets very often.

 at what % do you stop calling it sweet and call it bitter?

I just make it easy and call it bitter sweet, though I have had bitter "chalkolate."

I usually eat over 80% cacao...that´s usually bitter :)

though I´ve been having some good ones lately that are below 70% which count as sweet for sure...they´re more complex-fruity sweet than I´m used to in low % chocolates :)

V, I got it in the Walmart candy aisle, of all places!
Thanks on the avie. I needed to crop it so the detail was easier to see.
