All the time in the world today, yet only time for 1 tea. And left the tea/wares at our first stop. Then a grandson broke a leg playing football (fortunately not too bad, if a break can ever be not too bad).

Lots of food, and no tea ... there is always tomorrow, cannot wait! And hope to order some MUCH needed sencha as well.

Started my day with a White out with Yame Gyokuro on the floor of the kitchen right in front of a large window with the outside completely covered in snow.

Beautiful Adam!

And snow is coming here, a nor'easter. Bleh.

Began the TD with Oku Yutaka ... just heard this gone for this harvest. Too bad, it is a really nice organic sencha.

Was going to go to PA today, but got snowed in. :?

Oh well, started out teaday with some Fuka-midori from Den's Tea and winning a game of Pictionary.

Just got home to a very nice gift from a TeaChatter. New teapot saucer, maybe by Herr Novak? Is already getting along nicely with the other wares.

Loving the photos today! :)

No tea yet today, thinking aged Sheng eventually.

I have some traditions, but not that many. Things like having Sloppy Joes on Christmas Eve (vegetarian ones for me  ), playing card games and Scrabble on Christmas, baking butter cookies with my mom, lighting the menorahs if I happen to be at my father's apartment during Chanukah.

Tea is becoming part of my holiday tradition since I receive it as a gift very often.

Yesterday, I had matcha all day (my mom is wonderful...she got me so much tea), and some celebratory gyokuro at night. This morning, I had some pu-erh, and now I'm going to have a ginger tisane, I think.

Oooh! I actually do this, too! I tend to do more of the eating rather than baking. I'm eating some right now.

This year's Christmas has been eventful. Traditions? A few. Relatives and old friends? Many. Prickly relations and passive aggressive activities? Not entirely absent.

Altogether very pleasing though. I've been trying to like a pu erh included in the adagio sampler but it seems consistently soggy and wet dog-like. Started Christmas morning and today with Yame Gyo from O-C.

Thank you Brandon for coloring TD. Your earth tones are always ... warming!

Finished the TD with Tsuru Jirushi Gyokuro with the Mrs. This gyo is exquisite!
