There is no other vessel so critical to the spirituality of tea than the pot, and let's face it, all these other infuser thingies are basically a variation of a tea pot in various stages of declassé.

I love how serious a tea pot looks when it is brewing tea: hot concentration with a few drops of water clinging to its sides like they know they should be inside the pot. Nothing more pleasant. What is a tea pot but a modern day alchemist's alembic?

No contest. I would be a pot.
What he said, plus as I have often said, I enjoy brewing as much as I do drinking tea. I enjoy learning all the subtle nuances of a tea as I learn to brew it, rarely leaving success to chance. But the precise nature of a kyusu is a lot like me in general.

Next best answer, and I am sure I will be the only person to say so, a digital scale, this relates to the way I approach brewing, with a degree of precision. This is also a part of my personality

Began the TD with Kumpu from Ippodo with the Mrs. Brewed in a Shigaraki kyusu ... precisely perfect ...

But now that I think of it, as the drinker of tea, we have the best possible position in the chain.

made with love
made of clay - perhaps a real special one
fired twice (wasn't ready the first time ;) )
with a rough edge but smooth touch
with a glance and nice colours
with a chip in the head :)
full of tea

so guess - was difficult this time

I have had so much trouble weighing the alternatives, reviewing a few more digital photos, then going back to TC and the options above, that I clearly must be a digital scale!

Big mug...not sure why I picked it. It was the one thing on the list that grabbed my eye first.

A ceramic teapot. Not as easy to break as a glass one and enjoys a variety of things.
