Good TeaDay everyone. I hope today is filled with much great tea. We hope you share what is in your cup with us throughout the day!
Yesterday was a FreeDay on TeaDay. However you can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. Botched brew, when you overbrew, what do you do? Please share.
We are all looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with ... everyone. Bottoms up.

I drink it as a punishment for screwing up the brew, no matter how bad it is.

If not too far off, dilute; if too far off, not worth the coldness, dump & infuse again.

I usually try to drink it if possible, in worst case I try to dilute it. This morning I'm drinking Bai Hao Yin Zhen from teaspring.

This happens so often that if I didn't drink it, I would be wasting a lot of tea. So I drink it, unless it's really bad.
Having some oolong today, and managed to avoid oversteeping. At least with the first steep...
EDIT: ...and with the second. Yay!

Most cases I drink as is. If I can't stomach it, I dump the brew and try not to overbrew the next steep.
Busy day, only had some green chai this morning.

Drink it. Can't waste good (or bad) tea.

I try to redeem it by adding water. That really only makes it drinkable, not good.
3 big cups of Sae Midori this morning to wake up.

Depends, if it is a known good tea, I will either suffer a bit or try to fix it by adding some hot water. If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger and hopefully a better brewer.
If it is a suspected bad tea, I may dump ... but this happens so rarely anymore since I am hopefully through the learning curve and buy mostly pretty good tea.
Began the TD with Hosen from Ippodo with the Mrs. I did not botch it up, au contraire.

I always drink it. If its really bad then I drink it fast and try to redeem it on the next brewing.

Tea is a good day to drink.
I think you could water it if it is too strong, but a lot of teas don't get bitter if you brew them too long, so I just test the diversity. If it's undrinkable well it's undrinkable, but one should at least try it to see if one may like it. So much of what we like is dictated by norms, free your mind and your ass will surely follow.
