Yes, and I do (on occasion)! There's a tea shop in downtown Ulsan that I frequent; I took pictures here.

When I stayed with my aunt over the summer in Madison, WI I was dying to check out Macha Teahouse, which turned out to be fantastic. If anyone is around, I recommend you check it out. Here is their webpage and Facebook page.

I would definitely spend a few extra bucks for some premium tea in a tea room. Where I live, San Francisco is only 1 1/2 hours away so a tea trip isn't that hard.

Yes, in the right situation with the right teas ... and they truly care about TEA. This would be a refreshing change of pace. I would love to visit a room specializing in regional greens and see how they actually accomplish offering really good teas.

Still, this would never be the norm, a rare occasion.

Began the TD with a sencha, what else, right? Today it was organic Sencha 7132 from O-Cha with the Mrs. And although I prefer the more veggie sencha-s, this natually sweet offering is also a great change of pace.

Next up, Hosen asamushi, brewed lighter than I have been, was actually I think better this way.

The tea is very good and there are often music and dinner with culture.

I do rarely spend quite a lot for not so great tea made in a french press at what´s probably the only tea room in the city. It has a nice location so it´s a good place to meet friends or get a warm cup of tea while shopping in the winter though....it´s more of a social thing than for the tea really.

Yes, but rarely. Going out to eat is a special treat for me, and going for tea is the most special of these treats. (High tea! Huzzah!) Especially matcha. Mmm. I love matcha...

Rarely. It would more be for the experience to me. I usually go to tea rooms that sell finer teas to buy the teas for brewing at home, and a local cafe that is a tea+coffee shop own by a woman from china sells a small pot (4 cups) for 2.50$ and she recently imported some chinese loose leaf teas (previously all her blends were teavanna) ~ she was excited to share them with me and tell me about chinese tea drinking culture with it! I had Jasmine pearl tea!

It of course really depends on the tea I'm getting, but I have been known to spend that kind of money of a really good tea. Especially if I can infuse it a number of times. I've spent more on tea when it's me and a group of friends drinking tea together.

Yes, definitely, but in practice only rarely. There isn't a good tea room in my area, so my only real chances to splurge are my twice-yearly visits to my daughter in Tucson, when an afternoon at Seven Cups is de rigeur and the sky's the limit.
