Hard to pick between several teas this month--some exceptional brewings of a much nicer grade of Tai Ping Hou Kui from Jing Tea Shop, 2009 winter wood-roasted shui xian by Hou De, and some very pleasant sessions with the Old Plantation Qing Xin oolong from Norbu. I think the most memorable single session this month was the Shui Xian.

And despite a lovely tea day starting with Honyama sencha from Yuuki-cha, continuing with a 2nd day's infusions from the Norbu 2007 white bud sheng puerh, and finishing with some of Norbu's Diamond TGY, I am now craving more Shui Xian. This is a dangerous topic for posting without tea in hand!

Several orders have arrived this month, and I'm luxuriating in all sorts of really good new stuff from China, Taiwan, and Korea. The most interesting is yunnansourcing.com's "Jade Pole," which is almost as much fun to look at and touch as it is to drink. So that gets my vote for the month.

Nothing special, Adagio's oolong #18. Been slacking on restocking work tea containers, I tend to just keep 5-6 cups worth of each of 3 or 4 teas at a time, refilling as necessary. Ran out completely. Had to resort to soda. Sad day.
