They're two general types: Chinese black, and green.

In no particular order, my favorites are: pu-erh in general; Yunnan black; matcha; gyokuro, and kukicha.

Rose congou this afternoon, lavender sencha right now.

My tastes are very close to Herb_M's.

Feng Huang Dan Cong
Old Sheng
Wuyi Yan Cha
High Quality Roasted to Semi-Roasted Taiwan Oolongs

In general things that are complex with long finishes. I like the changes that can come in one tea over different sessions playing with brewing parameters.

So many people seem to dismiss shu. Have only tried +- 10 kinds. Many I did not like, but I find it hard to exclude an entire tea type...One of those 10 was notable.

Currently ...

On a most general level, GREEN, followed in no particular order pu-erh, oolong.

Slightly more specific, Japanese green, Chinese green, Korean green, sheng, Taiwan oolong, TKY.

I see if I get more specific than this level, I would be here all night.

Began the TD with Organic Sencha from Rishi followed by a RTD oolong with "Chinese" lunch, and finishing with Musashi from O-Cha ... with the Mrs. The RTD was actually surprisingly good. The bottle looked much like Adagio or Ito-En, but it was some odd brand containing just oolong tea, water and vitamin C which is pretty common. It actually tasted like oolong.

Oolong, puerh, green.

Today, a tasty teaDay with only one tea, because the leaves haven't stopped giving, even after a thermos full and a bunch more infusions: 2007 White bud sheng puerh from Norbu. Had a difficult meeting to start the day, and needed the comfort of a favorite tea.
