Friday April 1st. TeaChat to become CofTeaChat!

BYOT! Enter TeaChat here, you never know what you may find!

A few days ago the decision was made to convert TeaChat to CofTeaChat, a forum to discuss all things coffee and tea. And Adagio will become AdagioCoffeeRoasting.com. Isn't this exciting?

This is so freaking exciting!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! :mrgreen:

No more discrimination against the coffee drinkers! :mrgreen:

ooooooohhhh....but ish April 1st :cry:

Actually Deb....I´ve been lurking a bit in coffee forums and I found a couple of strange things about them. First that they´re very focused on espresso based drinks (when there are so many ways to brew!) and second that they´re very focused on the hardware.

It has be wondering why they don´t talk about the beans more...afterall my last batch came with all the info about their origin I´d expect from a good tea...

Sertão micro lot

Madagascar chocolate, sweet toasted hazelnut, berry acidity, velvety mouthfeel. Delicious as espresso.

* Country: Brazil
* Region: Carmo de Minas
* Farmers: Sertão family
* Elevation: 1,100 - 1,350 meters above sea level
* Varietal: Yellow Bourbon
* Processing: Hand-picked, pulped natural, patio dried
* Trade Certification: Direct Trade

The only thing I can really think of is that most people buy from local roasters rather than online...so no one is drinking the same coffee? Or are they just missing something?

I´m starting to think it´s not really a lack of variety on the beans side.

And you didn't think we knew today was April Foolies Day??????????

My GD and my best friend and I went to an early tea today -- an elevenses. Western style service, but many types of tea; greens, reds, India and Chinese, chai, roobios, whites, etc. I loved it because the western-style 3 plate cake stand was loaded with wonderful finger sandwiches, scones, shortbread, etc., along with a choice of a tiny fruit salad, black bean vegetable soup in a tiny cup and tiny crackers with a delicious cheese on them!!

I had a nilgiri tea; short-term memory loss precludes my remembering the name!! :lol: But it was delicious. :D

It is semi official, I have been fired as moderator for demanding TeaChat remains TeaChat. I was told to drink the roasted bean juice or else, I chose else!

But I fixed them, I have banned Michael, Ilya, and Cyn from Adagio, so now how are they going to convert the forum??? :lol:

Power to the TeaPeeps! :idea: It is a Teavolution I tell ya!

I need a quick tea before heading out for an April Foolz dinner with out of town fam.

If I must drink coffee it will be steamed green coffee beans from Japan. Java-fuki? Asa-Java?

Well I'm drinking neither tea or camellia sinensis, but an infusion of lemongrass. Experimental evidence just in shows that while it does not clash horribly with good chocolate, it doesn't do the chocolate justice, so that's not a match.

Chocolate and matcha, however...

Wow, that is so exciting! Unfortunately, I've stopped drinking both coffee and tea because they contain high amounts of dihydrogen monoxide. It's lethal when inhaled or consumed in large enough quantities.

April Fool's! Dihydrogen monoxide is none other than good old H2O. :lol:

There have been many news stories of people losing their life from consuming dihydrogen monoxide.

Inhaling large quantites of it seems to be the most dangerous.

Well there is also dihydrogen monoxide poisoning if you drink to much of it in a somewhat short amount of time.

This, took the risk and prepared an infusion of dihydrogen monoxide with tulsi (holy basil), cardamom, saffron, cassia buds, and it is delicious for an evening drink.

Earlier today, infused the same deadly substance with some Yamakai sencha and Bai Yun oolong. As delicious as if I'd made them all with water. But I was very careful not to inhale.

Korean green much earlier followed by Tetley teabag. Mixed with some of this dihydrogen monoxide ... I have abused this stuff and it has not killed me! I also use it as a performance enhancement "drug" during intense physical exertion and find it enhances my performance. But the more I use it, the more I crave it ... baaaaaaad.

Hmmm. Not sure I would call Friday a great TD ...

Studies confirm that the mortality rate of dihydrogen users is 100%.
