The picture actually doesn't do it justice, each one is hand painted. I have two of them. I was at Floating Leaves Tea with my son and he found them on a low shelf I had overlooked. Whenever we drink tea together he insists on using them. :) I'm wishing now I had of gotten more than two, i haven't seen them there since.

Now a green buddha hand from china, Yong Chung, Fujiin Province (teacuppa), a nice, light and smooth green oolong, nothing special but what's wrong with that if you got it going on.

[edit] second brewing some complexity is starting to show. nice.

I find that preparing and sipping my tea in a contemplative manner helps me quell the rage.

TENUKI--

That cup of yours is pretty nice, but it can't beat mine!

Yummm. Great tea with a hint of a marine flavor.

Might have an assertive pu taste to it...

3 steeps of an oolong , and I am coming back to steep a few more times this evening as a low caffeine TeaFix. The 3rd steep was the best so far.

Moving on to tea 3, Yutaka Midori...only a little more of this is left. This tea is a bit of an enigma to me. If I nail it, it is one of my favs, miss the mark a little and it suffers. Today, it suffers a little. But still very good. On steep number 3 and will go for 2 more. Then back to the oolong.

I sip hot tea (slurp a bit if it's too hot) and gulp cold tea.

The Thursday T@3 group experienced Vanilla Oolong today. Two really like it, one felt the vanilla was too strong, and another was strangely silent. :? I have to be careful not to be too outlandish with the types of tea I offer them. Darjeeling 22 and Peach Oolong is enjoyed by all, but that's about as far as they'll go.

This morning I really liked the gyokuro; used less leaf and shorter steep time today. Work-time teas were White Monkey and Raspberry Green. I think I'll also like that raspberry blended with mint or chocolate tea, too.

Hey dotK, I'll be unloading ... I mean sending you my Vanilla Oolong for your group!

No tea, I got home late from class, but wanted something so I'm having an herbal sent to me by a friend. Whom I hope I have convinced to sign up any day now!

Okay so technically it's the next day but went to bed early. Had pomegranate oolong w/bfast. It was another good day in that we ended the evening w/tea. Hubby had one of his favorites, vanilla oolong (got to order as my sample is almost gone) & I experimented w/mate tiramisu. After reading several posts about mate, I was a little nervous but the flavor was nice.

Definite sipper, especially while hot. I actually try not to smell the tea too much before I taste it. A couple of times I've had tea that smelled delicious but the taste was disappointing. It's a real let down for the taste buds.
