I am going for some Sencha Premium...this stuff is sooo good. It has everything. I could drink this everyday...and have been since opening it. This is the type of sencha that I crave at night...counting how many hours it will be til I can have tea in the morning.
This is a bit of a trick question...and Eastree saw through that.
I definately do all of them...
Sniff the dry leaf...especially after I put it into a preheated kyusu...WOW. Fantastic.
Sniff the brew before it meets my lips...usually when it is first poured into my glass serving pitcher.
Sip...and slurp...I have slurp to capture every essence of the flavor. Sipping through the first couple steeps.
Gulping and chugging...4th and 5th steeps that are preventing me from starting a new tea. I enjoy their subtle sweetness...but sooner downed the sooner I can start brewing.
I can only hope nobody sees me doing all this!!

I started the day with Darjeeling #22 from Adagio. I have no idea what it really tastes like, but it works well when I am sick to clear out congestion.
I should have put other, but I went with sip. I do enjoy the aromas of the tea since it is similar to tasting good wine, but I enjoy savoring the flavor of the sips more.

I have just had Gyokuro (Tamyura, not as good as O-cha's Gyokuros: I could only get three steeps of it.). After dinner Dong Ding (Palais des thés) and maybe a Rooibos to close the day.

I am a sipper, until it cools off as Katmandu says. I do the same with beer. I only like it when it's ice cold, then I pass the bottle to DH (who likes warm beer) to finish.
Sorry to hear about all the sickness. I had it to, however I scored some abx from urgent care Tuesday. I am back on green tea, water and Zpack so I am on the mend. Get well Kitty & Xine.

I just got in my first order from Adagio and am trying the Apricot green. I now see why some of you use scales instead of tsp. since this is the longest/flattest leaf I've ever seen. I just guess-timated how much a tsp was by pinching it with my fingers.

All the eloquent odes to slurping have left me wishing I was a bit less inhibited. But habits are hard to break, and if I dared slurp anything, my dear late grandmother would no doubt rise up and beat me to death with my own teapot.
My sipping and gulping behavior varies according to the temperature of the tea, but sniffing is a constant. There's nothing better than the smell of a freshly brewed cup... unless it's a newly opened tin of dry leaf. Mmm.
Darjeeling #22 at lunch. There's probably an excellent tea in there somewhere, but I'm just not feeling it. I can't decide if I'm brewing it wrong or if I just don't like Darjeeling. (The only other Darjeelings I've had were bagged teas; I didn't care for them, but it's not exactly a fair assessment.)
I've got several new samples to try, courtesy of Victoria, but I can't make up my mind! Help!

I slurp too, it helps with noticing flavors and it's the easiest and safest thing to do with a near-boiling beverage. No tea yet for me today... I will when I get back to my room though.

As far as tea goes...I'm a sniffer and a slurper when I'm tasting it, a sipper when I'm drinking the everyday's, and a gulper when it come to iced tea on a hot day.

I agree. I have just opened a wonderful exchange package from V. Packed with goodies!!! Far outweighing the scruffy little package I sent her.

Formosa 'Fo Shou' oolong from Zhu Shan, Nan Tou. 25% ferm/High roast in a gaiwan, boiling water, 15sec first infusion.
