Today was a fair teaday for I.
Began with a hefty two bowls of tamaryokucha. Followed by... Kabusecha? Then got to my houde order and had a gongfu session of a 2000 Yiwu. Followed eventually by some more Kabusecha.

Now I've got "The Art of Tea" magazine staring me down...

This teaday is not yet over...

I had some kukicha and some shin-ryoku sencha, both from Den's. I also had some TGY from Rishi, then my favorite TGY from Just4tea.

I also tried to drink tea like normal Americans. I put some tap water in a mug, and microwaved it for two minutes and tossed in one of the teabags I got from Mighty Leaf, steeping it till the tea was a "good color."

OMG, HOW DO PEOPLE DRINK THAT? It's no wonder tea isn't more popular.

I guess I'm really puzzled by tea ceremonies. It seems odd, mainly because I drink so much of it, I would have no time for anything else.

Finished my TeaDay with a blend of Karigane Gyokuro and Matcha..love this stuff.

Made it rather unceremoniously by putting some in a self fill teabag and had it with dinner while visiting my parents.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

This is incredibly late, for I am fighting the flu (and the last two kids have it :? )

No ceremony for me - no time. I enjoy my tea, don't get me wrong, but with a long ceremony I wouldn't be able to ever brew it. I simply don't have that much free time. That's another reason I *heart* my TriniTEA.

Which rooibos do you like to drink?
Just rooibos, unflavored.

Chip wrote: Yes, I have noted our differing styles a long time ago. I tend to use less leaf than you for longer times. I get 5 steeps this way...any more and I might get bored. The Sencha Premium appears to be asamushi and thus is very tolerable to using more leaf...so, you will likely enjoy more leaf. Yet, I would be curious of your reaction to trying my parameters.
I looked in my fridge and there wasn't any sencha premium. So I have just ordered one package to be able to test your brewing parameters. Next week-end, if the post is not too slow.
