There you go "thinking out loud" again!
I am glad you will try the oolong after all, I thought I woke up this morning in an alternate universe, where TeaChat and TeaDay scared people away from trying new teas as opposed to the poll of the day I wrote last night where we actually helped people to try new teas.
For fear of not liking Fukamushi sencha in this alternate universe, I am happy to report that I like it over here just as much as I do in the universe I came from!

That is the best indicator of good stuff unfortunately.

Now you're sounding like Richard Bach. Wonder if he's a tea drinker ....

Naw, you are in the same universe, just crossed paths with me. I have always had the capability to scare people.

This pu is finished.
On to a reminder that oolong > all any day. Got a Li Shan in my cup that is fantastic.

LOL, doesn't take much to convince me...okay.
Never ordered from Japan before. And the pics from the matcha thread are just gorgeous.

Happy Fryday all.
I just had a little splurge and ordered my first gaiwan and sharing pitcher. (Does that mean I have to share?) It seems like a monumental occasion to me. Just to complete the day I also ordered some new samples from Adagio. Fun, fun.
Today I'm having some genmaicha from Den's Tea.

Yes, TeaChat and TeaDay have definitely caused me to try things I would not have considered otherwise. I loved green tea before I found this site but now I have been introduced to oolongs and have learned that not all black teas taste like an over steeped Earl Grey tea bag. It has been fun.
Today has been two steeps of White Tip Oolong so far.

Hmm. I must pass along a quote that someone said to me when I was a noob oh so long ago...
"Life is too short to drink bad tea."
