Tease!
I ordered it on Wednesday and it got here by Monday with regular shipping. So there is hope for the rest of you that just had the regular shipping too.

I have to say that I am very impressed with the Fukamushi Sencha Supreme. After being good green tea deprived for the past month or so, this is just amazing. It is sweet and tangy with a really nice flavor. I can already tell that my supply of it will not last long at all.

When I was growing up we had this powdered ice tea mix that I remember making by the glass at times, often using way too much mix and having it clump in the bottom. It wasn't until college and having a British friend down the hall that I started picking up Twinings teabags at the grocery store which I consider the first time that I regularly started drinking "real tea".

Well, I see you haven't carried out your threat/promise of nudity!
Awesome picture. My yard has a bumper crop of dandelions.

My first tea memory was my mother being gawd awful sick w/flu when I was 9-10 and she asked me to make her some tea. I went to the kitchen and found some old Lipton tea bags and boiled water and made her a very strong cup of black tea! She must have gotten better b/c it didn't kill her.

We were "too poor" for iced tea. Ma bought Tang and Kool Aid for us in the summer. Then we moved to the big city, my best friend made me some sun tea. I remember thinking their family was so sophisticated for being able to make tea like that! I was hooked. I started drinking iced tea in high school, hot tea in college.

Like the other Southerners, I was raised in the land of very sweet iced tea. I don't remember it being around the house so much, but whenever there was any kind of event like a church picnic, you couldn't get away from the stuff. And I tried. As a kid I couldn't stand it. I've made my peace with the stuff now, but still don't drink much iced tea.

I think I was probably in college before it occurred to me to try hot tea. It was, of course, bad hot tea, so I wasn't immediately hooked, but I didn't hate it either. I think I was in grad school (late '90s) when I started drinking tea seriously.

Right now on my third steep of 2004 Fengqing loose pu-erh. Good stuff.

Sun tea was one of the only other tea drinking experiences I had as a kid. I loved the color of the tea in that jar in the sun. I still remember the exact jar my mom used - glass with a big red screw-on lid.

I remember getting very sophisticated as a teenager and graduating from Kool Aid to Crystal Light.

My grandmother was the queen of the re-used teabag. She and my grandfather could "dry out" and reuse a bag for days. Eek. They must have had incredibly strong immune systems.
