I said "five vendors", but that's on average. I've started buying from sellers I've never tried before, thanks to TeaChat, but it remains to be seen which ones will remain as perennial favourites.
At the moment I'm buying tea online from Adagio, O-Cha, Hibiki-an, and Den's. I'm also buying selected teas from a local seller. (This doesn't include the PG Tips that my husband gets at the local grocery store every couple of weeks!)
Drinking: nothing (yet), but it's sunny and warm outside. Shincha weather, right?

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!! Glad you "got it."RussianSoul wrote:Right! I am having a perfect cup of Hatsumi! I am so pleased with it I wanted to share. After all this trial and error, mostly error, and with Chip's help I got it.chamekke wrote: Shincha weather, right?
Hatsumi rocks!
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
Nice pic Sal - love roses and Bodum cups!
Today's poll has been a focus of mine lately. I have decided I buy way too much tea, and I need to cut down my bookmarks and stop visiting other than my favorite vendors. And YES, I am deleting my bookmarks! I am down to eight now and plan to make more cuts. I have narrowed it to 3 vendors only for premium oolongs. And 2 for everyday and variety those two being NM Tea Co and of course Adagio. So I voted 5 that I use regularly.

Thanks for sharing them with us. Loved the nudes and the "dirty pictures".Salsero wrote:The roses, what good are they if a man has no one to give them to?
I shop around for tea. Locally, and over the internet (mostly). O'cha, Pu Ehr shop, Hou De . . . Adagio, of course.
It's a cool, windy day in Indy and we can hear the sounds from the track and the drag track in the distance! One more week until race day and we can all get on with our lives here in Indianapolis.
Im pretty new to this. But I have found O-cha, Ito en, and some of the vendors on ebay to be good.
Drinking: My first Shincha. It is 2008 Kagoshima Shincha--Premium Grade, from Ito En.
I used 1 semi heaping teaspoon to about 4 oz of water at about 175 deg. I actually got 3 steeps out of it, which is surprising. It is one of the most wonderful senchas I have tasted. Sooo sweet and fresh.
Got the recommendation for Shincha from this board, thanks people!

I voted one, since adagio is the only vendor in which I have ordered from more than once. I would say that 90% of the teas in my tea cabinet right now are from adagio. The other 10%: from den's, dragonwater, teacuppa, ocha, teaspring, New Mexico tea company...
This morning, I had another tea from ScruffMcGruff's package, called Imperial Delight.
I love using the gaiwan!

DELETING bookmarks?! Wow. Last night, I spent a couple of hours just organizing my tea bookmarks into tea subcategories: teaware...blogs...tea to get...vendors by type of tea...!Victoria wrote:Today's poll has been a focus of mine lately. I am a gaiwan virgin.
Part of me wants to remain pure, actually. It's expensive enough to be a fan of Japanese teawares without looking longingly towards China!
P.S. "Which part"? Ha ha. Ever the queen of inadvertent straight lines...
