Yesterday, chocolate won the snack war. You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Welcome TeaFriends to TeaDay. Let's brew and share what is in our cups today...all day. You can reflect back on your TeaDay if you need to.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is about material possessions...that is...what is the favorite material for your teapots...and why? Most of us seem to love out teapots...at times as much as tea itself.
I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. So, bottoms up, refill, repeat many times...

Clayware gets me salivating obsessive saliva, but I have a thing for porcelain too.
I believe I think harder about TeaDay polls than I do most of life's moral questions. I guess teaware is just way more fun than right and wrong, perhaps because splurging on it is soo right and sooo wrong all at once.
I think I should probably go to sleep. I had some ben shan earlier.

Traditional Tie Guan Yin
A traditional roast Chinese Tie Guan Yin served in a Japanese Shonzui meoto yunomi. Before modern rapid transportation and storage systems, many oolongs were given an extra bit of roast to help preserve them.

Sal, I can't decide which I enjoy more - seeing your pictures everyday, or seeing pictures of your teaware...
I voted porcelain. I'm not really sure why though - it seemed perfectly logical at the time but now when I think about the reasons, I have nothing firm. I just tend to like porcelain pots more than most, I think. And it is nice not having to be careful about being a dedicated pot or not.... Haven't ever brewed in a glass teapot. Hmm, I haven't noticed any two-pot glass teapots, but that sounds pretty nifty. I might need one of those....
Magnolia tea this morning. Got a little close to overbrewing because I was too tired to register exactly what the timer was at first. But it is still drinkable, so I'm happy.
I am wearing my "MONKEY" shirt today, so even though I'm tired, I'm convinced it will be a good day.

Nice pic. The leaves are nice and green. Is that some fine wooden thing in the background?Victoria wrote:Glass is first for me, but I'm slowly branching out. As you can see.
OK, but do you two have to have all the good teaware too! Leave some for the rest of us.chamekke wrote:I'm with Geekgirl. I love all of the above.
But, yes, much as with tea itself, it's the variety of teaware I love.
