Yesterday, Clay won the great teaware battle. You can however still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Welcome TeaFriends to TeaDay. I suggest we all get brewing, then share what is in our cups today...all day! If you need to, you can reflect back on your TeaDay.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is again teaware...hope to spend a few more days here. Color is very personal when it comes to teaware. Share with us your fave colors in teaware...and why?
I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone as always! SO, bottoms up, refill, repeat.......

Good morning, All...
The majority of my pots are brown in color. Always been attracted to that- from my first Brown Betty pot years ago...but the cups have to be clear or white to see the tea. Since I have more white cups than I do clear ones, chose white.
No tea today. Hardly any yesterday. The only memorable one was a very smoky Lapsang that hit the spot. When I have some time and extra money, I'm going to start ordering different styles of Lapsang to compare...

Oh snap, look at that full frontal. That kyusu is downright seksi. Salsero, I like your montages, but after seeing the details of that pot, I yearn to get up close and personal with each element in turn.
I was so excited for TeaDay that I voted too fast, thinking we were still on teapots, so I voted brown. But as far as teaware in general goes, definitely white.
I remember making a cool infusion of Oolong #18 a while ago. I wonder if it's ready.

Whoa! I enlarged the picture and almost fell right into that cup.Salsero wrote:If you click on the big picture and then maybe again on the one that comes up, you can get pretty intimate with the cherry wood teascoop, which is a real humdinger.bi lew chun wrote: I yearn to get up close and personal with each element in turn.

I must admit, when I first saw your post in my RSS reader, I thought one of the spammers of old popped in for a visit.

Is it Gyokuro? That looks like 'Green' teaSalsero wrote:Fukamushi parameters – once again – provided by the right honorable Chip. Teaware, courtesy of Japan Inc.

I have no particular favorite color tho..
I do not particularly have one stronger preference, but I chose green because of late I keep being drawn to celadon teaware.
In general, though, I love looking at teaware and drooling over it - no matter what the color!!
Tom: your kyusu is GORGEOUS!!! And your fuka looks spectacularly yummy
In my cup today: Yunnan Sourcing 2006 Yunnan Gold (a gift from Tom!)

I have a favorite country's teaware, but not a favorite color tea ware.
This morning-
Horai-no-mukashi from Ippodo. Not quite as good as their Wakamatsu, but a decent matcha for the price.
Then Shincha at work later. I made 2 gallons of concentrated Sencha/Shincha blend for Iced/Room Temp Green Tea the next couple weeks: O-Cha Shincha Kagoshima Yutaka Midori and Ito En Kagoshima Chiran Kanaya Midori... Delicious!
