FRIDAY>>>WOOHOOO TeaDay 6/20/08
Yesterday, TeaChatters declared that "clear" was their fave teaware color...what is this forum coming to? Only 3 voted for green??? Everyone one else was just wrong!
You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.
Welcome TeaFriends to a Friday edition of TeaDay. How about we all brew copious amounts of tea and share what is in our cups today...all day. You can also reflect back on your teaDay if you need to.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is again about teaware. This time, do you own teapots that have never tasted brewing tea? One, several, a lot. Care to share and divulge more information on this subject?
I am as always looking forward to seeing everyone on TeaDay. Bottoms up, refill, repeat often.......

Of the few teapots I own...I have used every one of them.
This morning, I brewed tea with the teapot I use the least--my 12 oz. iron teapot from Home Goods. I just brewed a refreshing mug of casa-blanca twist. I've been neglecting all of my green teas pushed to the back of the tea cabinet by my lovely oolongs...!
Have a great day, everyone!

I have used every pot I own (which is only 2, no, wait, 3).
This morning is more Harney Apple cin. What I took from the box is almost gone.

Oops, I voted that I have used them all, but I just remembered that is not true. I have a tea pot and a coffee pot in a china pattern that my grandpa started collecting for me right after I was born and I've never used either of them. But then, I only pull out the good china (which that is) for holiday meals at my house. When I first got into tea, I thought about using it, but since it took 6 months of eBay searching and a decent chunk of change, I decided not to because it would be hard to replace.

Re: Gong Ting Tribute Shu
Some shu puerh is black and opaque as tar, some is lighter and more like a dark Assam; but puerh drinkers like to pretend that it is all dark and thick as molasses.LavenderPekoe wrote:Wow, that is one dark cup of tea.
This is not a happy version of the chickens you like. I couldn't find a sheep fight or a monkey fight. My daughters brought this clumsily-made piece back from Venezuela ten or more years ago, probably purchased from some roadside buhonero.auggy wrote: where oh where did you get the chicken fighting figurine?

Same here. It's a 10 or 12 cup teapot that hubby got for me as a gift. When I have friends over for tea, I try to keep it to 3 or 4 of us so my 8 cup pot is plenty.
Had white tip oolong w/bfast this morning. Looking forward to playing w/more of my new teas today!
LP-The apple cinnamon was a favorite at my house. Glad you're enjoying it.
Elchai-Glad to see you here. Like your avatar!

With hubby dealing in antiques, I've seen a lot of things but that's a first! Where did you find that?
*Edit* Nevermind--the answer was there when I posted.
