Monday 6/30/08 is TeaDay
Teapot...that was the top pick/top priority teaware purchase yesterday. You can still vote and discuss this topic.
Welcome everyone to TeaDay. Shall we brew and share what is in our cups today...all day!!!
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is our monthlly discussion on the best tea you have had this month. What type is it and give us some details about it if you want. We are listening...
As always, I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. So, bottoms up...refill...repeat!

Green I suppose. I tried a lot of new teas in June and if I have to choose a winner I'd say the sencha I tried.
I'm always happy as long as I'm trying new things.
Chamomile tonight. For sleeping.

Almost 2 am here, and I'm not finding it easy to fall asleep tonight. I doubt it's the caffeine, as I haven't consumed more than usual. Oh well... the dog isn't having a problem.
I voted for oolong. I've tried a ton of new tea this month, and several oolongs have been amongst my favorites. I've particularly enjoyed iced jasmine oolong and the new discovery of Revolution's Dragon Eye Oolong. The TKY and pouchong from adagio were nice too. Now I am eagerly anticipating the oolong pass box. A few months ago, I had never paid much attention to oolongs, and now I'm wondering if they will end up being my daily mainstay.
The greens are working well too, since I discovered cold brewing. In my cup/glass now... cold-brewed Green Pekoe from adagio... its been in my fridge all weekend, leaf and all... waiting for me to get home. And its still not bitter.
Off to bed sooooon...

Da Yu Ling Ridge
From Pear Mountain’s very high ridge called Da Yu Ling, 大禹岭, comes this intensely yellow Formosa oolong. The Tanzanian ebony lady may be a little out of place on this high ridge, but she’s the one bringing the water!
BTW, Pear Mountain = Li Shan.

Favorite tea will always be black, but like others here, I tried more Oolong than anything else last month with a bunch of new samples. I really like the Osmanthus Oolong from Upton.

Yum. Da Yu Ling
My particular favorite tea of June is Zhu Ye Qing, with that swift-shaped appearance and pleasant freshness of June.

It will have to be oolong! One, I had ordered quite a bit to try. Two, I found the Formosa teahouse nearby and Riva serves some fantastic oolong! Next month is going to be a toss up between oolong and Japanese green it looks like....we'll see
In my cup......vanilla oolong!

Oolong as usual - Guess I know what I like.
Thanks to GeekGirl for showing me the goodness of ToT AliShan and to LavenderPekoe for sharing her AliShan as well. It was very much an AliShan month for me.

Finally slept for a little while... dog woke me.
Drinking Assam Gold Rain from Teavana... has a good taste, lots of golden tips, very pretty in my glass pot. Nice with a splash of almond milk... slowly waking me up.

Easily June was an oolong month! Tried several new ones & found a favorite in Pouchong.
After a busy weekend, decided to treat myself to a pretty bfast. Had oolong #40 this morning. The wildflowers came out of my back yard. Planted the seeds w/my dtr during Spring Break. I see this becoming an annual tradition.
