I chose size, although I usually choose a larger cup than the amount of tea I'm making. Chalk that up to inexperience.
Salsero, I LOVE the cup in your photo. The detail is such a beautiful color!
This morning I have iced ginger peach in a lovely paper Pepsi cup. CLASSY!
(I really need to bring my own cup to work. )

Re: Super Premium Sencha
Good eye to see the largely hidden foot. The color came out quite different on today's pic of this lidded yunomi compared to the July 3 TeaDay pic of the same cup (where the foot is entirely obscured). In reality it is somewhere between the blue and the green.
I found your comment about the color line along the cup rim interesting. I have never thought that much about either rim colors or feet. I will try to be more observant of those features in the future. I'm sure it will pay off in greater enjoyment of teaware.

Fantastic photos, Salsero. And I am absolutely in love with that cup...no matter what color it REALLY is.

A beautiful day here for a change. So, why not enjoy it with tea. Adagio Yunnan Gold this morning. Currently Fukamushi Supreme a la O-Cha. Still using a small tetsubin as a pitcher for Japanese greens...not sure if this is a permanent fixture yet though.
Cups...we can be quirky about cups...well, I can be.

Everything matters except the name of the maker, the price and the age. The right cup is just right. And yet I voted for the white interior, because I do like to see the color of the tea. Glass doesn't do it for me, because the color of the table and background influence the look of the tea.
And in my totally white cup right now: rooibos.

Funny you said that. Earlier I took a pic of one of my tea brewing adventures using a glass teapot. I put it in front of a blue backdrop and it ended up looking like the tea was blue. Not a good look!witches brew wrote:Glass doesn't do it for me, because the color of the table and background influence the look of the tea.

Looking at tea number 3...gyokuro...very small steeps...I think around 2-3 ounces in a new Korean green tea pot I got from a vendor while at the Expo. Really rich flavor...makes me smile...
