I have a co-worker who's from South Carolina. He says it "co-cola." His word for soda of any kind. :)

The whole soda/pop/coke thing came up often in college. It was kinda fun seeing the differences, then having a good laugh about how dumb everyone who doesn't call it "soda" is.

(Is it a bad sign that the "twisted" face is the one I use most often?)

I haven't heard that in a long time. When I was a kid, I can remember hearing older people asking for a "RC co-cola" instead of a "RC Cola". Gotta love the colloquialisms!

Kids--"we wanna coke"
Waitress--"what kind?"
I thought that was just a Southern thing!
The other place I heard that was Mexico City. Go figure.

My grandparents' refrigerator was always full of Tab...and, when my aunt visited, Moxie. Ugh.

I remember Tab and RC, but what was Moxie like?
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.
