Sunday TeaRoom TeaDay 7/27/08 While sipping tea?
In yesterday's "TeaRoom Poll," SciFi/fantasy/Horror/mystery/manga/graphic novels was the top vote getter by far. You can still vote and discuss this topic.
Welcome everyone to TeaDay. Welcome to a weekend hiatus of normal tea discussions and more of a TeaRoom discussion...and an opportunity to learn a little about each other.
So, brew some tea, share what is in your cup today, and join our "TeaRoom."
Today's TeaRoom TeaPoll and discussion topic was again suggested by Adagio's CynTEAa. Thanx again, CynTEAa! What do like to do this time of year while sipping tea? Please feel free to share some of your favorite companion things you do when tea is in your cup.
Let's get together for TeaDay today! Bottoms up, refill, repeat often...
A little TeaDay trivia...yesterday TeaDay became the first TeaChat category to accomplish what?

A delightful black tea what was a much appreciated sample along with some seedless concord grapes that I've been eating all weekend.

My Tea Day is spent at work, reading the paper when I get home and then reading Tea Chat later on. I usually drink tea during all of those times...
I'd have to say my tea ritual after work, with a quiet house, breakfast and a newspaper is my favorite, though.
Upton's Osmanthus Oolong at work tonight...

I voted for reading but really, Tea Chat would have been the honest answer. Often I forget to make tea because I get stucked in some interesting discussion about matcha-wear...
Sal, stop it! I'll swallow my tea the wrong way and get suffocated if you go on delivering this sort of breathless beauty every morning!
Really, this is not just a teaday-picture, it's freaking art. Hope you don't mind that it serves as background on my desktop from now on.
Now, shu from 1992.

It really depends on the time of day I'm having the tea.
If it's the first tea of the morning, then I'm either here at the computer reading the news, checking on the various websites and fora, perusing TeaChat. If it's afternoon tea, it's usually with a good book or music.
As always, you all have gorgeous tea-photos!

It was a tough call between reading and computer stuff but I finally picked computer stuff. In actuality, these two activities are probably tied.
This morning I'm drinking Assam from Mark T. Wendell.

"Sitting quietly contemplating every sip" for me. Unfortunately, this happens quite rarely. But when it does, it is nice to be outside in the backyard staring off at the distant hills.
Yesterday the weather here was near perfect. A wonderful cup of champagne oolong perfectly fit the bill. Sweet honey-like notes with a touch of fruitiness. Mmmm!
Ah, summer!
This morning has started with Golden Yunnan, of course, but the champagne oolong is again in my sights.
The only thing I come up with for Chip's trivia question is possibly 6 months for TeaDay?

I'll have to be a copy cat & say, "It Depends" but my favorite answer would be to sit quietly & contemplate each sip.
Late night last night. Slept in this morning & off to make bfast now. Golden Monkey is back in the house
so that's the obvious choice today.
My answer to the trivia question is 1st category to reach/exceed 10,000 posts. Whether or not that's the right answer, Congrats!

Hanging out at TeaChat is my favorite thing to do while drinking tea. Of course at the same time
I do really slow down and quietly contemplating my tea and appreciate every sip.
Sal - that is a beautiful pot!!! Great pic! -
Space - Gorgeous! I'm starting my day with a black tea sample too. Now all I need are some grapes!
Yay! TeaDay reaching 10,000 posts!!

Lately I've been knitting like a madwoman. This happens almost every summer, maybe I subconsiously think that piling up sweaters and socks it will make cool weather come faster. So I sip while I knit.
