Voted for the wrong thing actually, but no worries! Voted for IngenuiTEA/modern device but really I was thinking about my TriniTEA so that should've been electric device I suppose! I know purists would frown, and I'm a little inclined to apologize even but it's so much easier to set it up and flip a switch in the morning so I can shower, prepare lunch for my Mr Bento, and then put tea in my thermos for the day!
Speaking of that thermos, it's got white peach in it today!

Kyusu...no question. I have a bunch and use them all. An absolute favorite...hmmm...they are all absolute favorites for different Japanese teas.
Adagio Golden Monkey earlier...
I am about ready for some GREEN, Japanese, in a kyusu appropriate for that tea. I will have Yutaka Midori a la O-Cha in a particular Japanese Maple kyusu that pours this very fine leaf superbly and supremely! No other kyusu I own could do so well.

Ohhhhhh I have been eyeing that one!! Even nicer looking than I thought.Zodduska wrote:I almost voted Kyusu but I feel the Gaiwan is more versatile.
heres my new gaiwan from dragonteahouse, a 200ml beast.. it's a little tricky to handle but I like it quite a bit and it can even serve 2.
In my cup is Teamasters Baozhong.
A beauty, enjoy!
(and I guess you know how I feel about that oolong)

I kinda talked myself out of it because of the size already. But I love the design.Zodduska wrote:Thanks Victoria, one thing to keep in mind when deciding to get this gaiwan though.. its a bit scary trying to one hand pour over my fragile bodum glass cups.. this is more of a two hand gaiwan.
Lovely!

Nice gaiwan...I saw that one too. DTH has a lot of drool factor teaware.
Finishing up a Korean steamed green Gamnong sample from the Expo. I still do not get the exorbitant price for this tea. It is good, but sencha is better. Maybe the sample is not as fresh as could be.
But it is good.

It is absolutely gorgeous. Maybe Gordon could get a smaller version of the same design. I have three this size (though none this beautiful) and they are tricky to handle.Zodduska wrote: its a bit scary trying to one hand pour over my fragile bodum glass cups.. this is more of a two hand gaiwan.
It would make a nice flower pot. Maybe a cute baby tea plant...
