In yesterday's poll, 2 out of 3 TeaChatters indicated they liked Long Jing, many considered it in their personal top 10 list. Ironically, Long Jing is China's most famous tea, yet none of the votes declared Long Jing to be their favorite tea. You can still vote and discuss this topic.

Here is a list of a Chinese version of China's 10 most famous teas. Below is a link for this list as well that might provide a little more information.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is again a venture into China's 10 Famous Teas. This list is adjusted periodically in China. It is from their perspective. The list above is a current top 10 list. There is a link for reference. So, please share how many of these you have tried, how many do you like, and are any of them "famous" for you?

Please keep in mind, the number, whether high or low, is not an indication of your knowledge or tea skill. It is simply a curiosity, whimsical. A TeaRoom discussion.

What a wonderful way to celebrate my 100th consecutive TeaDay photo.

Wesli and I enjoyed a brew of Jin Fo together across roughly 3,000 miles of the North American continent thanks to the miracle of Live Chat in TeaChat. It was great. Andy was there when we started, AphrodiTEA stopped by and cheered us on, Ed stuck his face in the door and wrinkled up his nose when he saw it wasn’t green, Padre gave his friendly “Hey" with his inimitable Southern drawl, and others strolled by. Course without the kind help of Olivierco and the patience and advice of so many TeaChatters, this 100th post would never have happened. Thank you all. What a great bunch of teabuddies.

I have tried six of the ten famous teas. My favorite is Silver Needle.
My least favorite is TGY, which I just can't seem to like.

In my cup is Yunnan Golden from Teacuppa.

With variant spellings and fallible human memory in mind, I chose '6' knowing full well I could be mistaken in either direction quite easily.

Matcha at the moment, almost forgot I've got matcha that needs to be drank up and my friend dropped in some sencha he is convinced needs drinking fast as it going off fast.

Of the teas listed, I've only tried 4; Dragonwell, Silver Needle, Wuyi & TGY. Wuyi is by far my favorite on this list. Keemun is on my "Teas to Try" list for the next time I place a tea order (which is going to be a while...). In no hurry to try the others listed.

Ditto on both accounts for me. Wuyi or TGY (both #1), Silver needle, and Dragonwell. Keemun will be on my next order. I guess I'm not very "experienced" as some might be on this forum.

Off to a family reunion.

I had 7 out of 10 with Tai Ping Hou Kui being my favorite.

The 3 left to try are:

- Lu An Gua Pian, Melon Seed Green
- Xin Yang Mao Jian, Fur Tip Green.

Which reminds me that I was planning to order from TeaSpring and haven't placed it yet.

I've got half the list down and since I don't see myself trying the ones I hadn't already, I guess that's where it's going to stay.
