Saturday TeaDay 8/29/08 Fave tea for August?

by Chip » Aug 30th, '08, 04:00

Again, the vast majority of TeaChatters indicated that they were at least thinking maybe yes about the potential disease prevention of tea. You can still vote and discuss this topic.

Welcome to TeaDay everyone! I hope everyone has time off and can enjoy lots of tea this Labor Day weekend. Shall we brew and share what is in our cups again today, all day?

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic is our monthly decision as to what has been our favorite teas this past month. Please share what your favorite teas were.

I am looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up!

Your favorite Tea for August was a
Japanese green of course: Kanro gyokuro. Not the best I have ever had, but the best I had in august.

This morning Yunnan Golden tips with my breakfast.

I think the only tea for August was Pu-erh. I have been bitten bad...

That said, a pretty sweet 2006 Menghai Pu at work this morning.

Green tea all the way for me!

Although, there is nothing better than a good iced oolong or black tea on a hot summer day! :)

Shincha to start my day this morning. Yunnan is in queue next.

Have a great Saturday everyone. Drink up!

Black of course!

Yunnan Gold in the cup this misty morning. It looks as if it might be thinking of autumn outside.

My favorite for August was black tea because it was the only type of tea that I had this month.

No tea yet but I'm planning on trying a new tea, maybe White Tropics, or have some Pirate Spice.

Today I'll be trying to battle antivirus software because for some reason McAffee will not uninstall and it's frustrating because I can't install Norton unless McAffee is gone otherwise it's an antivirius software battle....Wish me luck. If anyone else has had problem with uninstlling McAffee please help if you can. :?

Green green green! :D I don't usually drink anything else anyway, other than oolong once in a while.

I just got my first Den's tea order and trying out their sencha extra green w/ matcha. I like!

Was actually a hard poll question for me today. I have really cut back on my tea this past month, so I have savored every sip I've had. I've had some amazing greens, and have fallen in love with Darjeeling in the last couple of weeks, but I had to vote oolong FTW... still my current favorite.

in my cup now, I have Formosa Pouchong from SpecialTeas... nice but not as good as Adagio's Pouchong, imo. I have some iced pouchong/white peach waiting for later.

Have a great tea day everyone.

This month I've dabbled a lot more in oolong than I usually do, so I voted for that. In the minority at the moment, I see. Perhaps the greens are making a comeback.

Salsero, I love the crackling/colouration that your Deishi Shibuya yunomi has developed. Isn't hagi wonderful?

Koicha will soon be in my cup. Mmm... koicha.... {resists licking inside of teabowl out of consideration for next guest}

I still haven't voted yet because my favorite is oolongs but the questions was a new fav for August.. of course I'm still partial to my oolongs but questionable on how I should vote this morning... I'll be muttering it over for a couple hours or so then come back....
