I wanted an option that said "I don't crave them often, but when I crave them, it is a distinct and strong craving that won't be satisfied by anything else". So, I picked 5, for a happy medium.

I've come a long way from someone who really thought she didn't care much for greens... but some of the finer japanese greens, properly brewed, have found a little place in my heart. I probably drink green tea once or twice a week, where I drink black tea almost every day and oolong more than once every day.

In my cup this morning... the last of my Wuyi Ensemble sample from Adagio... which I very ironically thought I didn't care for on the first couple of tries... but this morning it tastes fabulous. Go figure. I think it's because I've been on a darjeeling/golden monkey kick for a week or so, so the darker oolongs must taste better to me because I've been in that mode.

Have a great tea day.

Sarah

I can't resist them lol.
I can't help it if I'm totally in love with green tea!

This hot morning, Den's pear iced tea (thanks LadyTiger for sharing this yummy sample!).

I said 8. Matcha and Sencha, primarily. Yes, I crave tea, otherwise I probably wouldn't be on a tea message board ;)

<--- Drinking Ito En Chiran Kanaya Midori Sencha this morning. Time to go to work...

I voted 5 I used to drink mostly green (unflavored) tea but my now my tastes have shifted and I enjoy variety. Must be the old age
Going to brew a cup of Keemun soon.

P.S. Yesterday I mentioned Huntington Gardens. They have an awesome tea room in the rose garden. You can see some images – tea and food they serve here: http://moodsandappetites.com And no that's not coffee in a cup, that's Keemun.
btw this is my daughter's blog (she's 17)

5....not as much as oolong. Usually if I can have it iced, I'll want it even more.

8! I have days where the only thing that I want is sencha.

I did have a green tea craving this morning actually. It was not a sencha craving, but for hojicha. I finally opened the sample tin of it last night and enjoyed it enough that I needed to make more this morning. It is definitely going to be on my purchase list for whenever I decide to get more tea.

I voted 3 because I haven't really explored them much. The green tea I have had has tasted and smelled like grass to me ... probably wasn't very good quality. I do look forward to trying some in the future, though.

Irish Breakfast this morning.

Omega ... get off that coffee! :)

A big ol' 10, because "greens" covers not just Japanese and Chinese greens but also the delectable emerald powder - matcha!

This Saturday I'm flying out of town on a week-long family visit. And this time I'm actually going to take some tea supplies with me: my weird hybrid gaiwan, a small cup, a thermometer, and a few tea samples. Now it's just a matter of packing up the fragile stuff for the hand luggage. Any advice? (I'm toying with the idea of actually doing a little airport gong fu during my stopover in Calgary, but that's probably unrealistic...)

On the minus side, while I'm away I probably won't get 'puter access until later in the evening. On the plus side, I'll be in the Eastern time zone, so I have some hope of logging onto the TeaChat IM before everyone else has gone to bed!

7 ...

It depends on the green. I could drink Jasmine green all day, and I loooooooove matcha, though I've only had the real stuff a couple of times. I'm really trying to get in to sencha, and expand my repetoire, so it will probably change as I get more experience.
