 We will have to agree to disagree on that one, Sal.

Currently enjoying Farmer shincha blended with sencha/gyokuro karigane. The karigane definitely makes this more drinkable. I am not a huge fan of this aracha. It is passable. I bet it is better cold brewed.

I prefer sencha karigane/kukicha with no gyokuro elements at all. The sencha karigane from Hibiki is the best I have had to date.

I would call such teas "novel" verses novelty. They are different, but they serve a me well.

Earlier, also had some Adagio Silver Needle, perhaps some refered to this as a novelty when it was first introduced.

I think oolong is great with food. Drinking my favorite right now, the high roasted TGY from Just4Tea.

Whoa, Space, heck with the food, that looks good enough to eat and makes me want to give a high roast another try. The stuff I have tried looked like "burnt offerings."

Me, either but I'd drink that! Great pic.

Yutaka Midori w/lunch today. I know it's all the rave around here but I prefer Hatsumi. How does the Sencha version compare to Shincha? Currently finishing a cuppa Pouchong.

Me too, of course. Black teas are great for breakfast and to wake up to. I find I appreciate my oolongs even more when I start my day with a nice black tea. Not to be negative towards blacks, it's just a nice contrast. I welcome my oolongs in the afternoon.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will add it to my list of teas to try.

Hahaha! Especially appropriate because we call him Beelzebubba (Bubba for short.)
