Tough poll, I usually think "oolong" when asked to select my favorite tea, but given the fact that I have my matcha every morning and miss it when I skip, I'm gonna have to go with green.

*le sigh* no tea photo this morning. I'm off to the acupuncturist, so I'll leave you all with this:

Cheers everyone! :D
How did you brew it?

Karigane gyokuro right now.

I'm a male and I prefer Japanese greens.

Having some Darjeeling Phuguri first flush now. Started working out today and it feels like someone put me in a bag and beat it with a bat for about 15 minutes, but well gotta start somewhere.
Had Sencha Yutaka Midori earlier today.

It's interesting to see the spread of females be more even across the blacks, oolongs, and greens; while males are focused on greens and oolongs

Female, oolong.

I grew up having only green tea in my household, one day had my first oolong, and suddenly fell in love with it.I read it from somewhere that people's tea taste is coordinated with their diet choices. I somewhat believe I like oolong more than green because I like meat and strong flavors in my food. With strong flavor food all day long, I would feel oolong more outstanding than green.

Just a quick break to check in here - in my cup this afternoon -
Iced Baozhong

The poll is very interesting, especially with less women than I
expected checking in.

Gotta run!

I am definitely female, though I had a difficult time deciding between green and oolong as a favorite. After much deliberation, green, mainly Japanese greens, won by a slim margin with dark-roasted oolongs close behind.

Currently, I am enjoying some White Peach before it gets too cold to thoroughly enjoy light, fruity teas. Later, I plan on breaking out some Chinese green tea samples that I have not gotten around to trying yet.

female and definitely green for me, though i do love my oolongs.

today was a good and bad tea day for me. i had gyokuro, pouchong, iron goddess of mercy, peach and mango herbal, and silver needle. i was experimenting with foods for starting a teahouse and made a fantastic swiss fondue and a variety of sandwiches and breads. my guests were very happy with the tea and foods, so that made me feel better about my culinary skills. but... i broke one of my tea bowls. it slipped out of my hands when i was washing it and the sink is made of this very unforgiving heavy porcelain. :(

And of course, all polls are skewed in that they represent the views of people who like to take part in polls
Absolutely true - I voted for Oolong as my favorite - because it's the only tea I can relax in the evening with. Anything else (that I've tried keeps me up all night).(And that reflection is skewed by the fact that during the day I seek caffeine.)

male and green

also like white, oolong, and chinese red tea

Today was all japanese green though with Yutaka Midori this morning and Fukamushi-Sencha Maki this evening. The second steep of the Sencha Maki was deep green and looked like very poorly kept aquarium water; or maybe even swamp water. however, the taste - oh my was it good!
