Friday TeaDay 10/03/08 Enough tea in your life?

by Chip » Oct 3rd, '08, 00:53

Welcome everyone to Friday on TeaDay. I hope we can all have plenty of tea and can share what is in our cups today, all day.

Yesterday, the overwhelming top option was "tea reigns supreme amoung all drinks." You can still vote and discuss yesterday's topic.

Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic ... unintentionally suggested by Auggy yesterday ... is there enough tea in your life these days? Answer this in whatever context you interpret it. Anything goes!

I am most certainly looking forward to sharing TeaDay with everyone today.

Yeah, I think I have enough tea in my life at the moment. I could probably not order more tea until the spring and still have enough. I have quite the pile o tea on my hands at the moment.

I'd normally say not enough but now that I am semi-unemployed I have all the time to make tea in the world :P

Definitely not. I have plenty of tea to last me years upon years. but hardly any time to drink it. I've got tea piled up that I haven't even been able to taste yet. Its kinda sad.

Currently drinking a TKY from a free sample off some website. It ain't all that.

Enough tea in my life? I guess so but the days are too short for all the good teas available.

Not enough time in the day to get all the tea I want.

I picked up some sencha at an asian import store while buying myself some ice cream (mochi). That stuff is amazing (the tea, not the ice cream), and I'm sure it's a sub-par sencha.

I underestimated you green people.

I have so much tea in my life that I routinely give some away to reduce loss to spoilage.

Oh, hell yes!

I got "the look" last evening along with "you've been to THAT shop again" question! :D

Hey, I only have 1-2 oz. of 5 or six loose teas, some chai, a new pot (well, actually 2 if you count the glass infusion mug), two infusers (one for work, one for home)...all this collected in about 2 weeks. I don't think I have a problem!! :D :D

A new organic Assam in the mug this morning -- and I over steeped it -- had to use a little sweetener -- second go around should be better!!

I definitely don't drink as much tea as I'd like, being away from all means of making tea for nearly twelve hours each day. But on the weekends I go nuts, drinking tea from when I wake till I pass out
Life is like a cup of tea, savor it slowly or it will be gone too fast

At home I drink tea all the time. At work I have a kettle and a gaiwan on my desk so, yes I have enough tea in my life right now...

I briefly considered full disclosure here on my tea stock, and almost counted how many varieties of tea are currently here... but I tink maybe it's better that I really don't know, especially since I ordered all the new adagio teas in sample size last night, including the holiday sampler.

In a day's time... no, I don't get all the tea I want... mostly because I've been trying to cut back a bit on the caffiene factor until Mystery Diagnosis is solved. I'd rather have much more tea, although I am still having several cups a day.

I have a new man-friend who just came back from a business trip to San Francisco. He sweetly brought me some tea from a teashop out there... of course, he had no idea what varieties I like, and brought me one chocolate, one with rooibos (I don't care much for either of these but I will drink them to be gracious), and he brought me some of the roasted barley, Mugicha. I actually quite like it very much! It has a nice nutty toasty taste, a hint of natural sweetness, and is good for multiple infusions... and caffiene free. It will never replace tea for me, but I am enjoying it as a nice variation on my tea routine.

Happy tea day to all...

Sarah
