seconds!

just dug out a piece in the storeroom
http://i1165.photobucket.com/albums/q58 ... g~original

same as before, mid 80s, red clay, 60ml xian yuan pot that is perfect for dancong and chaozhou gongfu brewing style. however there are a couple of white spots on the pot that is due to sand falling out. if you dont mind the aesthetics,

sold!

Factory 1, 200ml, Mid 80s, lovely hong ni that is beginning to develop quite a glossy patina. 半菱壺 (ban-ling hu). forgive the lighting, the clay is red not brown :D

'end 80s to early 90s F5 Shen Deng pot 65ml in both zini and hong ni.

the clay is superb, well aged and processed, dense, heavy and very well fired. one of the best pot types to be used in gongfucha with dancong, yancha!

one of the best tea merchants in singapore is planning to cease the business soon after almost 3 decades. I had sieved through about fifteen plus remaining pieces in their inventory and picked only these three 3 pieces, these pieces have the best lid fit, airtight at most if not all rotations of the lid, and a very swift dispense speed.

if you want the original box it can be included, but i'll ship it out in a better hard plastic container.

Awww. :(

From what I remember Teaism saying, I suppose it's not a surprise. It's just sad to hear. I'm glad I had a chance to visit one of the stores a couple of years back (even if that one was smaller than previous places). I'd definitely be curious to hear more about it at some point, particularly how tea places survive there in general.

Hi All,

I'm going to be in Singapore in a week for a week and it will be my first chance to browse Yixing in person (I live in Aus). Will this famous Eric still be open for business or will I have missed him by the time I arrive? Also, do you have any other tips for places to go?
