Got my teapot (and two wee cups) from Petr!!! Also, Reid Ozaki will be showing wood-fired and gas kiln teawares at the Shoji Showcase at the Japanese gardens next week. *swoon*

This pink shino is, by far, the hardest piece of teaware I've ever tried to photograph. It makes spectacular high contrast, desaturated images, but to try to get her peculiar flavor of pink and orange has just mystified me and my camera. This is the only shot worth saving out of 25. Believe it.
She is just a high fashion girl, that's all there is to it. I love it!
