Hedge apple tea bowl reflectionsImage
It has been a week now since I pulled my new hedge apple tea bowls from the kiln. Image They work well and today I tried out a couple with light interiors. It is a sunny day and to my delight I discovered through the lens a reflection of my grape vine in them! You can find out more about these hedge apple tea bowls in Teaware Artisans at http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=9772

Ahhh now that it is fall, almost winter, a new summer bowl has arrived. And per usual, it spent more time getting from my local post office to my house, than from Japan to the USA. Then in my excitement to get the package open I cut through one of the ties on the tomobako. Oy.

It is so beautiful, very thin porcelain, a joy to behold and to hold.

I couldn't wait for matcha, I christened it this morning with Darjeeling.

Victoria, bronzebed and scotsajo, thank you for sharing your lovely wares!
Cory, that chawan looks similar to one that adorns our shelves!

Very beautiful olivierco! Your cannister is absolutely gorgeous! The yusamashi landscape depicts a lovely scene.

Thank you for sharing with us.

I really like the Tsugaru chashaku, it rare enough to find any lacquered ones.

They hold about 100ml so I intend to use them when I brew tea with a houhin (gyokuro, sencha and Chinese greens)
