Today's MatchaWan :D (new name, but tea's the same)
Edited in links with no image tags. Hopefully that works.

Is it just your camera or is this matcha really that yellow?

Woah, now that you mention it...
I should think it's a combination of rushed editing on my phone and the lights in the kitchen.
It's not the most vividly green matcha that I've had but in regular daylight, it's not normally that yellow!

theroots, I've enjoyed your teaware photos very much, especially those in the Not My Teaware... thread. I think you and I can get along just fine!theroots wrote:Here another shot of the tenmoku chawan:

I guess then you'll like my greatest treasure of 2014 as well. Will upload some pictures one of these days.
I like the irregular shape (more obvious from side view) which is rather hard to find.AdamMY wrote: That Tenmoku Chawan looks stunning!

Am pretty much ruined after having YunomiTea's Cha Ginza Roasted Matcha. This whipped up so nicely. It was very smooth with a rich long draw. It did not really taste so roasted, more like less bitter. This let the richness of the flavor come out. I did not even want a sweet. It seemed like it would only get in the way of such a balanced matcha! Cannot wait to try this one thick/koicha. It was a very high quality matcha with a corresponding price point.
How will I now go back to drinking lowly mortal matcha?
Here is a photo from my Instagram (TeaZap) before I added more water:

I took out my spring chawan of its cupboard because the good weather returns
I present you "Sakura", a very feminine chawan with its small flowers, he pleases me a lot and holds well in my hand.
Today I chose the matcha Keiko Suprême, very soft and wonderful to my taste

Marvelous bowl, so dramatic against the rich green matcha.
