We really need to work on our camera issues so that we can post our chawan complete w/matcha.

This thread was a great idea, thanks.

Seeker you have some amazing Chawan, and they look even more inviting with the green frothy goodness that is matcha inside.

Thank you Mrs. Chip, and AdamMy!
I appreciate your kind comments very much. :D
I was actually feeling a little discouraged this morning as I considered
the lack of others sharing their matcha and chawan, and I was leaning away from a post. :(
But I found each of your posts heartening and inspiring. :D
So...
this morning, Wako in Shyrabbit Red.
Image
And a close up for fun...

Cheers and thank you for your interest.
ps - and to all you matcha lovers out there -- I sure would like to see some chawan fulfilling their destinies, care to share? Please?...
pps - BTW, clearly my pics are EXTREMELY amateur, so don't be shy, I'm using a Casio Exilim (little, thin, travel camera, sort of instamatic like but digital; I probably don't even have these terms right :? ; GeekGirl is an inspiration and also a source of frustration - I just have no idea how to capture like she does, and always want to).
ppps - maybe I'll do my next pic w/ my phone just for fun.

seeker,

I guess I was too close to the forest to see the "Dancing Dinosaurs"...love the imagery and the name. Never saw the creatures until now.

Thanks for posting.

Hi Michael,
Thank you, both for your gracious comments and your posting.
Sometimes I see abstract spirits/creatures holding hands, but more and more I really see dancing dinos.
Thank you for your beautiful work.
Cheers.

Nice iannon.
Hopefully more will join us in sharing, and neither one of us will have to repeat.
 Uh oh, I think I've already repeated.

Edit/addendum -- yep, Shyrabbit Red's been out three times! Love that red!
But all the children have not been out to play...

There are some Hagi the Biwa's are one of them that I go back and forth on whether I like their style or not. In Your Picture I think its great, somehow I feel even though Hagi pictures are typically stunning, their true essence needs to be observed in person

Hi Adam,
I just love this one to the touch. It is so light, yet so textured; and the texture isn't overbearing at all, just enough to let you know it's still there.
I really like the way matcha looks in it.
I think a larger size chawan like this would be STUNNING.
(...the sounds of whispered prayers).

I know Deishi makes a larger chawan like these. I've seen them before on Mago.

I have one. It doesn't "speak" to me. I might sell it...
