Chen Ju Fang is the wife of the Master potter (I think) who visited EoT in the UK a couple years back (there are vids of him making a pot on YT).

Her pots are available through that vendor.

A wonderful old 200ml yixing with ball filter (Japanese expo

This arrived today. I assume this was an export version and came with the original export box? Can anyone read the writing? I am thinking because of it's large capacity and mid-fired style, sheng puerh would be a wonderful pairing for when I have guests. The craftsmanship may not be perfect, but the clay is very precious. Softer than any other I've handled that I know is truly yixing.

Nice zini pot! I think sheng pu erh would be a good fit. Shu pu erh is also an option if you drink it.

Thank you for the--agreeable--advice (and compliment). I stuck with sheng. Boiled the clay right out of this sucker tonight. 5 pots of water it took--so much powder in each pot of water--to get it clean. Shared tea with my son. This thing has some thick walls!!!

Oh, I like that first, sandy red clay teapot! I always had a soft spot for that type of clay. Good blog!!

Yes, the first pot is one of my favorite too. When nurtured, the brownish red became darker but the yellow speckle clay became lighter and shinier thus increasing the contrast. It has nice pear skin texture which is a delight to touch :D

Cheers and have a great tea day my friend! :D

I like pots that have a story. Yes, the clay of the first pot looks beautiful, it seems a kind of clay that will develop quickly a nice patina :)

Good idea. I myself prefer to drink sheng so I have a few different teapots for sheng but only one for shu...

Here are a couple of large teapots, but my image sizes do not permit me to post these ones here so if you like, feel free to check them out. I am pleased with my 200+ml yixing collection thus far. I hope you are, too!
