Anyone else use a Zojirushi?
These things are friggin awesome, I bought one for my parents and have been puttin it to all kinds of use...the multiple temp settings makes creating a cup of specific tea so nice and easy without removing all the fun of making tea

I have a couple of pinot digital
kettles that do much the same thing--let me choose the temp and show the actual temp (which does bounce around the programmed temp a bit. So nice for gongfu.

I use Zojirushi and its great. Does take a while to boil water though. Cooling is no problem - just open the lid.

I use one too and i like it. Just an advice for future buyers: 4 liters is not that much, it seems a lot but it is not!!

Haha, ya, the 4 Liter can be consumed in no time by the avid tea drinker XD
And as for the heating and cooling...if i know I'm going to be drinking different types of tea with different tea temps, i tend to leave the zoji only a quarter or less full and just choose to refill it a bit when i need too. The water heats MUCH faster that way.

I have one at home and I am thinking of getting one for work just so I know what temp it will be. I love using them though. It is even nice just to heat up coco and oatmeal too.
Re: Anyone else use a Zojirushi?
I have a 3L Tiger which is great. I no longer have to worry about falling asleep with a kettle on the stove. Although I like tradition, that's the reason I purchased the hot water dispenser; I did fall asleep with the kettle on the stove. After using this dispenser, I don't think I could ever go back to a kettle on a regular basis. This is just too convenient to give up. And yes, 3L of water at the correct temp can disappear very quickly. I do consume much more tea using the dispenser.
I think the Zojirushi and Tiger are equivalent but the Tiger may come to a boil quicker. Even when filled it doesn't take very long. The heat retention is also excellent even when it's unplugged for a while.

I've been using a Zoji (3L) for several years now, and absolutely love it.
Re: Anyone else use a Zojirushi?
When I need cooler water, I dispense it into another container (Pyrex measuring cup, pitcher) and let it cool. It's probably not good for the elements of your Zoji to leave it open (if you still have it plugged in while the lid is open). The water will cool faster if it's a closer amount to what you need to brew.noname wrote:I use Zojirushi and its great. Does take a while to boil water though.
