I really like some of these hand pinted cups and gaiwans too, they have an oriental looking that I love.

The mantis is the smallest, about 3.5 ounces to just below the rim. The bunny is about 4, and the hummingbird is the biggest, at 8. I like the different sizes, as well as different designs. I could easily see this collection growing!

They are! There is a cute frog one, and she does panda's and koi as well. She did the hummingbird one for me by special order

Took 1 out of the 12 hand painted cups to use today.

Due to its shape (long deep), it is better for tea which gives aroma. Using it for Oolong would be the best.

This is some of my red peach tea ware. Well, tea ware and spoon. They date from the early 20th century. I like the red peach pattern and have been collecting them for some time. Most of my pieces are similar in shape though. It is kind of hard to find different pieces. The cups and plates are very common, but the gaiwan's, teapots, and spoons are not.

My three latest tea-bowls from a local artist Tracie Griffith Tso. http://www.inksart.com/ It's hard to say which one I like best, but right now I'm leaning toward the hummingbird!
Those do look fantastic. I was exploring the site, and I really liked the cups with the panda's on them. One of these days I will have to get one.

Hello everyone! I have used Teachat extensively over the last year or so to read everyone's opinions about certain teas or teaware. Now, I have finally decided to join and am very excited about it! You all have a really great website full of awesome information!

For a handful of years I have been obsessed with Japanese teas (sencha, gyokuro, hojicha, etc.) and have recently dove into the realm of Japanese teaware. I'm super excited about it. Below are pictures of my recently purchased Mogake Kyusu made by Murata Yoshiki. I hope you all enjoy!! :)

Beautiful kyuusu! I love the flower-style connection of the handle to the body...
