TBH I'm rather embarrassed to share the photo of my Favorite Teapot cause I'm fairly certain it's not in anyway special except to me
Looking at all of the things you guys have posted is leaving me feeling a tad inadequate!
But it is my first teapot and it's what got me interested in tea ware so I do love it.
And as with anything I suppose you need to start from somewhere, just as with forums you gotta put yourself out there even if it means people are going "what the heck was he thinking?"
So I was walking around Chinatown in Singapore a few years back when I stumbled upon this tea shop-house(which sadly has closed). I wandered in only because I was trying to kill some time but then this pot caught my eye. I was so drawn to it. It looked so modern and I really liked the thought that something so sleek could be used to produce something so traditional. I probably spent more that what it's really worth too but it was with in my budget and I got to walk a way with a souvenir... 2 in fact, I got one more embellished with goldfish that reminded me of my grandmother's teapot (from the 1920's) which unfortunately was lost in a fire.
Anyway, before I start yammering on about my whole life story
Here it is. I'm sure it really isn't Purple Clay, it doesn't matter who made it, I only know it brews a good cup of tea and it's pretty in my eyes.
