I have been trying to find somebody who can do it for years, with no luck. Every time I do find someone, it turns out the person has passed away recently. Maybe I should try to revive it. I have the tools and finding broken pottery is pretty easy. I do love that teapot.

Is a bit over 200ml. Other photos today didn't turn out very well, here are some old ones dug up.

Interesting mostly due to the natural spring lighting. There are a few small black marks inside from the open kiln firing.

Is there any chance I could see a closeup of the mark in the lid? It really is a pretty piece.

Sorry about the rotation. Top, lid; bottom, foot.

I was wondering if I should post them here or on the antique teaware thread cos they are 'junior' antiques (I think they are from the 60s).
IPT wrote:Hey, 60's counts as vintage right? You could post them in the antiques thread. Those are very pretty gaiwans. Is there anything written on the bottoms?
upon IPT's insistence, here they are. They have 乾隆年制 written on the bottom. No box around seal.

Yes, but it is neither an antique, or vintage.

Here is a little yixing tea jar. It is about 2.5" tall and has fairly thick walls. There is a tree on one side, and some "seal script" characters on the other side (my guess). One charater (on right) resembles "cha" to my untrained eye.

Most likely, the jar was cast and the tree and other details were incised or sharpened by hand. The lions have a hole sideways through the mouth, as well as one where the mouth is. Perhaps they were for a handle.

I'd guess it is somewhere between 100 and 150 years old, dating from the rule of Empress Dowager Cixi. Of course, that is completely irrelevant, but I can pretend it adds fantasticly to the value.

It would be wonderful to have a series of jars like this, ranging from a daily use size like this, to big containers that could hold seven cakes.

A raku chawan made as a commemoration of the Coronation Ceremony of Emperor Showa in 1928.

That yixing jar is very nice!!
